The appraisal and selection for the China ESG Golden Awards 2019 officially started on October 28. Upon the online voting and the joint review by experts of nearly one month, all the appraisal and selection processes were completed on November 27. The final list of winners has come out and been confirmed by the organization committee.

The appraisal activity, sponsored by finance.sina.com.cn, was aimed to praise and reward enterprises and institutions which have made outstanding contributions to China's ESG cause.

 
"Golden" means that "responsibilities are as precious and heavy as gold". In the spirit of saluting enterprises and asset management institutions with excellent ESG, finance.sina.com.cn hoped to spread the strength of ESG examples to the public through the platform of China ESG Golden Awards.

Ten awards: Best Environmental Responsibility Award, Best Social Responsibility Award, Best Corporate Governance Responsibility Award, Best Responsibility and Aggressiveness Award, Annual Sustainable Development Award, Responsible Investment Best Bank Award, Responsible Investment Best Securities Company Award, Responsible Investment Best Insurance Company Award, Responsible Investment Best Fund Company Award and Responsible Investment Best Asset Management Institution, were set for this appraisal and selection. Lists of award candidates were worked out upon the comprehensive evaluation based on materials such as public enterprise information, news and public opinions as well as authoritative databases.

Upon the comprehensive assessment, CR Power won the China ESG Golden Awards 2019 -- Best Social Responsibility Award.

 
CR Power has been paying high attention to its own social responsibility construction, and constructing its sustainable development objectives by the ESG responsibility system centering on environment, society and corporate governance. Over the years, CR Power has been continuously strengthening social responsibility management, conducting social responsibility practices and integrating social responsibility philosophies and requirements into its strategic planning, production and operation, business development and all other work, and has conducted a lot of fruitful work in supporting local economic development, community construction, environmental protection, public welfare undertakings and so on. The Sustainable Development Committee is set under the Board of Directors to assist the Board of Directors in supervising the sustainable development policies and practices. The management has established Social Responsibility Guidance Committee, which is responsible for the decisions on and leadership and promotion of the strategic direction of social responsibilities.
