On the evening of September 4th, 2019 Asian Power Awards Ceremony was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. China Resources Power won 5 awards this year, including Best Coal Power Project of the Year in Asia, Best Wind Power Project of the Year in China, Best Photovoltaic Project of the Year in China, Best Transformation and Upgrading Project of the Year in China, and Best Information Technology Project of the Year in China.

CR Power’s Tangshan Caofeidian Power Plant has achieved the best energy efficiency in coal-fired power industry around the world with their leading technologies of “five-cylinder six-exhaust” ultra-low emission technology, eleven-stage heat recovery system and integrated auxiliary machine frequency conversion energy-saving technology, winning it the Best Coal Power Project of the Year in Asia. Datong Yanggao Wind Farm overcame difficulties in the construction environment brought by the winter temperature as low as -30°C, and took several measures to build a “highly-efficient, high-quality, green and beautiful” wind farm in only 5 months, winning it the Best Wind Power Project of the Year in China. Heishui Photovoltaic Power Station, as a targeted-poverty-alleviation project jointly implemented by CR Power and Heishui Government, provides RMB 4.032 million of poverty alleviation funds and helps 4032 poverty-stricken people each year, winning it the Best Photovoltaic Project of the Year in China. Manzhouli Wind Farm, through the construction of residential central heating projects, has alleviated the problem of winter heating for nearly 2000 local grassland residents, improved the company’s own operation status, and was awarded the Best Transformation and Upgrading Project of the Year in China. The new energy wind turbine early warning system, independently developed by CR Power and launched in September 2018, has given effective warnings for over 9,000 times, which has played an important role in cost reduction, efficiency improvement and intelligent operation of wind power. It was awarded the Best Information Technology Project of the Year in China.

As a prestigious award in Asian energy industry, Asian Power Awards has been held by Asia Energy Magazine for 15 years. Every year, it selects breakthrough projects and pioneering initiatives in Asian power industry, and commends outstanding companies that advocate technological innovation, sustainable development and fulfill social responsibilities. It is known as Oscar of the power industry. In 2019, over a hundred companies from more than 20 countries participated in the competition.
