CR Power Issues 2019 Sustainable Development Report and Obtains "Five Stars" Evaluation

On May 8, CR Power issued 2019 sustainable development report, which is the 10th sustainable development report thereof. It systematically discloses CR Power's practices and performance in terms of corporate governance, the performance of economic, social and environmental responsibilities and so on in the past year. CR Power was comprehensively rated by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences as "five stars" level in five years consecutively.

The 2019 sustainable development report of CR Power follows principles of importance, quantification, balance and consistency set out in the Guidelines for Environmental, Social & Governance Report (HK-ESG) of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Ltd. (HKEx), discloses or explains all indicators as per requirements, and while continuously responding to the Guidelines for the Preparation of Sustainable Development Reports of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI Standards) and sustainable development goals (SDGs) of the United Nations, integrates major concerns about environment, society and governance (ESG) on the international capital market, and emphasizes key issues about the response to climatic changes, water resources, human capital development and so on.

The report, themed on "green energy and moist life", covers important issues such as environmental protection, work safety, steady operation, staff development and community harmony, systematically discloses 90.5% of core industry indicators, and fully responds to concerns of stakeholders. In order to improve report transparency, CR Power engaged the independent third party PricewaterhouseCoopers to audit and attest 13 key indicator data such as sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide emissions and density in the report in four years consecutively.
