On May 8, Technical Specifications for the Application of Marble Waste Pulp to Wet Flue Gas Desulfurization, a local standard of Guangxi drafted by China Resources Power Guangxi Company, was approved by Guangxi Market Supervision Administration for the official launch. It will be effective from June 30, 2023.

The standard defines the whole process from marble waste slurry generation, collection, transportation, and treatment to gypsum application, playing an important role in directing the resource repurposing of calcium carbonate solid wastes in Guangxi.
